Living things are things that are alive. They can grow and change.

People, animals and plants are living things.
They need a few things to stay alive: food, water, air and a place to live.

VITAL FUNCTIONS:
All living things have three vital functions:
- Nutrition: all living things need food.

An adaptation is a modification or change in the organism´s body or behaviour that helps it to survive.
Una adaptación es una modificación o cambio en el cuerpo o conducta del organismo que le ayuda a sobrevivir.
- Polar bears have white fur (los osos polares tienen pelaje blanco).
- Fish have fins (los peces tienen aletas).
- Monkeys have a long tail (los monos tienen una larga cola).

There are plants that moves to look at the sun, that closes its leaves when you touch it and others that eats insects.
