In this unit we will learn about living things. We will study animals and plants.

Pages 6 and 7: CLASSIFICATION OF LIVING THINGS.
Living and non-living things are all around us. Animals and plants are living things. Animals belong to the Animal Kingdom. Plants belong to the Plant Kingdom.


Pages 8 and 9: VERTEBRATES.
Animals are classified into vertebrates and invertebrates. 
Vertebrates have a backbone inside their bodies. Invertebrates don´t have a backbone inside their bodies.

Molluscs, arthropods and worms are invertebrates.

Animals that live with humans or on farms are domestic animals. Animals that live in nature are wild animals and some can be dangerous.
The plants that we grow are cultivated plants. The plants that grow in nature are wild plants.
